We found this cool little hut on our hike today. We had to offroad in waist deep snow to get to it but it was definitely worth it! It was almost as big as our van 🤣
We had some people asking about our scuba certification in Thailand. We decided to write about it on our website about it. Link in bio 👈0
It’s one of those views that the second you get there you have to stop and stare
This Fernworthy Reservoir. A stunning place near Chagford that has loads of walks to explore. The views on a sunny Saturday afternoon were amazing

Just because your path is different doesn’t mean you’re lost. 👞

I struggle with comparing myself to others a lot. I think we all do, especially with social media at our fingertips. I look at all my friends around me who have a savings, who are buying houses, getting married, having kids. I know that I’m not quite ready for those things yet (scratch that - I am SO ready to have a savings 😆). But it’s hard not to feel left behind in the rat race of life.
I see all these other travel bloggers and influencers who are already at a place in their business that I only dream of, but sometimes I feel like because I’m not doing everything they are doing, that I’m falling behind as well.
It’s lethal to think that just because I don’t have much of a trendy wardrobe 👗 or long flowing hair or a perfectly toned and tanned body or all the best connections and gear that I must be “doing it wrong”.

It is NECESSARY to understand that your path is your own. It’s unique and different and someone out there is waiting for you to share it with them. 💫 Someone out there needs to hear YOUR story. Not your depicted version of someone else’s. I read this the other day : “People compare their behind the scenes to someone else’s highlight reel.” And that couldn’t be more true.
This is advice even I myself need to take : Stay strong in the moment you’re in right now, and own it. Work with it. Use it. You’ll get a lot further ahead if you just accept where you’re at and who you are. How the person next to you got to where you want to be isn’t necessarily how you yourself will get there.

From this morning's hike across the Waihe’e Ridge Trail 🌈 • Before anyone comments with 'so inspiring/jealous/brave', I want to press our little adventures aren't unattainable. Even with (and really, BECAUSE of) student loans, a mortgage, limited vacation days, a Poe, Andrew and I prioritize opportunities where we can throw ourselves out of our day-to-day routines, where we can make our lives bigger. For our little family, this has necessarily taken form in climbing mountains and sometimes exploring the world, but also in much smaller, everyday actions like visiting new cafes and markets, in getting out of the city for weekend getaways, in scenically biking, instead of driving, to work. Life is only as big as we make it, only as fresh as we keep it. Living it is what really matters #SomeplaceWilder
‘People tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will descend like fine weather if you're fortunate. But happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly’ - Elizabeth Gilbert • 🌈 #SomeplaceWilder
