So today I downloaded a new gratitude journal app! The interface is real simple (unlike the app I used previously which asked you tough, repetitive questions), plus you get a random set of gratitude lists from other users to inspire you (someone is really happy he got to buy "tiny groceries" ?! 😂).
Every day that you start off with being grateful is a fresh new day for you to see the world with new, unjaded eyes. Kickstarting a year of gratitude - bring it on!

At first, I was like these aren’t the ones I ordered. I reached out to them and @bforcebands immediately messaged me back saying that they gave me the better ones, which are the BOOTY BANDS: WIDE 🍑. Sure enough, I was SUPER SATISFIED and had an amazing Day 9 of @80dayobsession Booty Workout!.

There are plenty of things they don't tell you when it comes to dieting. If those diet program commercials were honest with you, it would look something like this. ⬆️⬆️
I get a lot of people reaching out to me about my thoughts on certain diet programs and products and detoxes. And my answers is always the same - diets do not work. Let's get a little in depth here. •Metabolism- your body is incapable of telling the difference between dieting and legitimate food scarcity. To compensate for the low calories you've been consuming, your metabolism SLOWS down in attempt to conserve energy. The outcome? Now you're body burns less calories just by doing everyday things like breathing, than if you were eating the proper amount of calories. •Disordered eating- your relationship with food gets all sorts of messed up. Dieting advocates for disordered behaviors. •Loss of muscle mass- when you're in an energy deficit, your body is going to compensate in order to get what it needs. Meaning, your body will start taking protein from your muscles for energy opposed to just glycogen and fat.
•Nutrient deficiencies- when you lower your caloric intake, you're also consuming less essential vitamins and minerals. Not only is this unhealthy, but you'll feel lethargic as well. This is why fatigue is a common weight loss symptom. •Loss of food cues- your body has a magical way of letting you know exactly what you need by signaling when you're hungry and full. If you're restricting your calories to a T and following a strict diet plan, your body starts to lose the ability to detect this. •Weight gain- Due to a combination of a slowed metabolism and a high likely hood of binge cycling, it's a fact that most people who lose weight from dieting put it back on almost right away. •Psychological strain- most people on diets find themselves constantly thinking about food and the next meal, counting calories, researching recipes online, ect. Your mind doesn't leave the topic of food. All you think about is food and your body, leaving little to no room for living your life. •interested in more info? Today = Day 25 of the #minsgame. I’m 115 items less (a little off the 325 items I should have discarded by now!) 😱😩😔. I was a little disheartened when I first did the maths but fortunately my internal optimist has kicked in... Slow progress is still progress in the right direction to living a more deliberate life with less! 👊🏼 #watchthisspace for a blog post about my experience. It’s been heavy - less stuff means more Stef to focus on. Deciding what to sell, donate or trash has been a breeze! But facing myself (my habits, my priorities, my goals etc) has been the biggest challenge of all (a good challenge, yet, at the same time, an honest, emotional, shake you upside down kinda challenge!).
