At times, our goals may not be easy to achieve. Our progress may be hindered through various sources (via other people, unexpected challenges, etc.). These may cause frustration and discouragement. However, our response should be one where we press down on the accelerator. You see, we must power through those hindrances and continue to put forth the effort and resolve to not allow ourselves to quit. We are in full control of the level of focus and effort that we exert. By sticking with it and continuing to press forward, we will achieve each goal and in the end, we will be truly glad that we didn’t give up! Become the Prevailer that you know you can be! The things our bodies are capable of and the science behind it all never ceases to amaze me. Gone are the days of hours spent doing cardio, instead replaced by resistance training and HIIT workouts.
I’ve learned so much since I’ve started my fitness journey and have done a lot of trial and error as I find my way. I used to be in the gym 6 days/week doing hours of cardio. PLUS, I was running lots of miles and training for half marathons. Eating 1200-1300 calories a day during the week, binge eating on the weekend because I was restricting myself so much from all the foods, and having that constant guilt and remorse feeling from it. All I focused on was that number on the scale and wanting it to get lower and lower. And, I just kept getting injured from all the running I did.
As you can see in these pictures, I weighed 6 pounds less when I was doing everything wrong. My body fat was high because I wasn’t eating enough. I had low energy. I felt like crap all the time. It was a vicious cycle that unfortunately many women find themselves in!
I finally had to take a step back and refocus my direction, which lead to lifting heavy in the gym 5-6 days/week and minimal cardio each week (I rarely run anymore). 6 pounds heavier, a different body shape and so much healthier!
Finding out what works and doesn’t work can be a long, frustrating process! But when you finally start figuring things out and realizing what you are capable of, it is so rewarding to feel like all your hard work was worth the process.
If you are someone who is struggling with these things I mentioned, or just need some help with your health journey, send me a message and we can work together to meet your goals!
A lot of emotions going on, but we’re excited to announce that we’re expecting a little baby Parker due July 2018!!!!!

1,065 calories VS 2,200 calories 🙌🏽Making gains = eating more🙌🏽 It's definitely still a weird concept for me, and something I need to consciously make an effort to grow my weaker areas... and also means being okay with gaining weight, adding some fluff, not having abs, and having your clothes fit a little tighter. Everything is a process, whether you're building muscle or cutting, your body is going to go through different stages. Almost every day my confidence is tested and I have to practice what I always preach... ✨Love yourself through ALL stages of your journey✨💕 •
