Decided to have a rest day because I'm in pieces from 3 days worth of workouts (including 2 in one day) and spin classes being taught, plus a climb up the skirrid mountain. So yeah you can say my body is knackered.
Saying that... I still have to teach a spin class tonight, so technically not a rest day 😂
I decided to help out @katec1111 with a few rotator cuff strengthening exercises. Here are two that can help you out. But please don't use heavy weights because this isn't a show off exercise, this is to help rebuild and strengthen the rotator cuff gradually. Perform 8 reps X 3 sets making sure to control the movement.
Anyone else love bitmoji?! [Image description: Florence's bitmoji holding up multi-colored letter spelling "So Busy." ] I feel like this is such an accurate representation of how life goes for some of us. One thing I've learned and am trying to put into practice is that no matter how busy I am, I still need to find time to move about as I can. ⠀
As of right now, this looks like making time for my PT exercises. Prior to all of this, it was making time to get to the gym for a workout! However, the gym shouldn't be the only way one finds connection to getting their body moving. ⠀
Ways to get moving without the gym⠀
1. Stretching ⠀
2. Yoga ⠀
3. At home workouts ⠀
4. If you have an office, take time to walk around if that's not a situation that induces pain⠀
5. Seated movements within your means⠀
6. A personal fave of mine- self massaging or getting a massage. Def counts as movement! ⠀
DM me to chat more about this and how we can create a plan for you that's accessible! #modifyalldayeveryday
Did you know that today is National Toast Day? (Who comes up with this stuff?). Here is our attempt to keep up with social media trends AND keep it fitness orientated. How did we do? 😉 Not time to give up the physio just yet :)

Thanks to a shoulder injury when Swimming midd Jan we're about to drip feed swimming, yoga and the gym back in to the training plan too which should see the volume increase again once more. Pushing the rest period till next Wednesday now before the next 6 - 8 week block, just a little set back but a set back is a set up for a come back 🙌 🏊 🚲 🏃

Does Sports Massage hurt?
No! Well, a little bit Yes but mostly No!
A lot of people put off getting treated because they are worried about the pain. When it comes to sports massage pain is a funny thing. If your muscles are tight or under tension then of course they are going to feel tender to the touch and the process can be quite invasive but the idea that it hurts more than your injury does isn't right.
A good therapist will talk to you first and assess you thoroughly. This way they will know how much pain you are in and how deep they need to work. They will let you know what to expect and check on you throughout the treatment. There are several methods that allow me to work in to your tissues layer by layer and breathing techniques that help you relax in to the massage which allow me to work deeper in to the tissue.
It can be uncomfortable, but it's that weird pain that feels pretty good at the same time, like a really deep stretch! Afterwards the effects will be more than worth it, especially when your moving freely and injury free! Stop over thinking it and get yourself sorted!
Day 35 take two
My knee felt totally fine when I got home yesterday, and felt totally fine this morning. The exercise that was excruciating yesterday didn't bother me at all so I decided to finish the last round from yesterday, and then do some stretching.
Today is supposed to be leg day, and I considered doing it since I'm feeling OK, but I'm going to take it easy until I see the ortho. I might be feeling OK today but I was in excruciating pain yesterday, so there's definitely something wrong.

➡️Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same. ➡️Make muscles not excuses. ➡️It's supposed to be challenging.
While Kayla has to put down the weights for a while thanks to her tendon tear, she modified leg day with no weights.

Хотя сам швед настаивал на том, что ударил соперника случайно.😠
