What are your thoughts on rest days? I’ve been following a meal plan for the past few weeks and haven’t dropped a single pound. Do you think my body is rebelling against doing a workout for every single one of the past 28 days? I haven’t done my workout yet today and just wondering if I should take a rest day, or just looking for an excuse. 😂
QUICK BOOTY BURNER | I know it’s a quick video, but it really doesn’t take long to switch on those gluteals (your butt muscles) before you train your legs. I know that warming up can be a little tedious at times, but the truth is that our butt muscles don’t necessarily just ‘switch on’ when we decide to start exercising - especially if we’ve spent all day sitting on them! You’ve got to wake that 🍑 up! RUNNERS - you too need to ensure that the jogging/concrete pounding doesn’t turn into overactive quads and calves, and under active gluteals - which can commonly lead to knee and back issues. Just switch them on beforehand to put your MIND IN THE MUSCLE (let’s face it, the best muscle). Try 20 of these banded lateral squats (to hit your abductors or top side of the butt) and 10 each side of the quadruped heel raise (to hit your core and your booteus maximus - the peachiest part).

Day 6/80 done!!! You guys, I am so proud of myself for making it through week one of our new and challenging program... I’ve stuck to my eating plan 100%! I’ve passed up Diet Coke, pizza, my absolute favorite scones, Don Pedro’s Breakfast Burritos, and Burgerville!
I know I can do this now! There were definitely difficult days but I’ve gained confidence, lost some inches (and lbs), and am working muscles that I forgot existed. I feel that every moment of coaching, exercise, and eating for the past 2 and a half years have come together to help me succeed as part of this test group.
I still have 12 weeks to go but I’m proud to say that week 1 is in the books and now I can rest and hang our with this little girl! Have a great Saturday everyone!
