The other day I snuck off to my room to have a good cry after my husband got home. He quickly found me and asked what was wrong.
The only thing I could muster was, "I just need a win right now". 2017 ended on a downward slope and things are just hard right now.... my inability to fix things for my mom... the crammed schedule... the deadlines I keep missing... the kid screaming 'I hate you' from the other room... the endless mess around the house... the piles of laundry and dishes... the friend I keep forgetting to call back... the goals left by the wayside... you get the picture.
On a good day - I recognize I'm doing my best and that is all that matters. But at times, when it feels like the blows keep coming, I feel defeated.
So right now, I need a win and embarking on a new fitness challenge is just what I needed. 🔸The set goals give me something to work towards.
🔸The friendships and teamwork in the group helps me not feel alone.
🔸The physical challenge is the best stress reliever and anxiety reducer.
🔸The healthy food and purposeful supplements make my body feel incredible.
🔸The weekly accountability give me a "win" every week as I push to do my best.

Day 10 of The Comeback Tour and issa full body workout - chest, back, legs, glutes and abs. By the time I got to abs I was shattered, but I still felt great.
Here’s the workout below:
I always warm up and do cool down stretches with each workout.
-Superset- x three sets with two minute rest between sets
12 x chest fly cable pull 40lbs
10 x single arm cable crossover pull (each arm) 40lbs
12 x decline push ups
12 x 10kg plate chest press
12 x elevated bench press with 25kg bar
5 x single arm dumbbell push up - two sets
-Superset- x three sets with two minute rest between sets
12 x bent over cable row 40lbs
12 x bent over cable single arm delt raise crossover 40lbs
12 x lat pull down (behind head) 40lbs
12 x close-grip underhand lat pull 40lbs
LEGS & GLUTES
-Superset- x three sets with two minute rest between sets
12 x hip ups on prone leg curl machine 80lbs
12 x prone leg curl 60lbs
12 x curtsy lunges using the Smith machine 20kg
12 x squats using the Smith machine
12 x split squats with 12.5kg barbell (each leg)
12 x ‘Good Morning’ with 12.5kg barbell
12 x hip abductor 100lbs
12 x standing lean forward hip abductor 100lbs
Three sets with one minute break between sets
12 x incline oblique crunch
12 x 10kg barbell crunch - fully extended
12 x 10kg plate fully extended crunch
Plank on Swiss ball one min hold per set
12 x Russian twist with 8kg kettlebell

Hello to #postpartumhairloss 🤭so since I hit the 3 months postpartum mark, it starts 🤦🏻♀️losing estrogen and whatnot will do this to ya. Noticed my scalp was super itchy before I saw all the hair fall - Any other mamas experienced that? What were your symptoms?
Ramping up on some #soy cause of my low estrogen levels, and a dose of #calcium as well since #breastfeeding depletes it. I tell you why don’t people warn you or talk about these things 🤔 So I’ll say it right now ~
To all the mamas and moms to be out there - be sure to continue your prenatal vitamins during postpartum. It is essential! Be sure to double up on the dose if you are 🤱🏻 since your body will definitely need it. I’m just in my third month and I’m really feeling the toll on my body. As much as you have to care for your newborn and family ~ self care is important 💋 Take care of yourself so they get the best of you!
On a more positive note, baby woke up only twice during the night for the first time. YASSS! 🎉 so happy I’m starting to understand this nap/sleep scheduling thing - also another thing most people don’t talk about 😆 At least not the people I know. I tell you the things you learn as a mom on your own 🤷🏻♀️ everyone always wants to know the problems but never help with finding the solutions ⁉️
I’m just happy I’m getting the hang of this and it’s all starting to make sense. That and the fact that my family/MIL hasn’t been stressing me out lately about the baby is good enough 👍🏻

Trying to show my sis in law you don't have to do a zillion crunches only to work your core.
However, in saying that, I always like doing #absworkouts to strengthen my core to help my give strength to my lower back. Swipe to see some ab work on the floor.

I'm sorry plz n fank u but I can't live by your rules ✋🙃 because I was born with a heart full of my own 💖🦁💪🌸🌊👹😸. I do believe that our passions might just choose us and not the other way round! This year it's become clear to me that the only goal worth pursuing is to choose happiness. Plain and simple. Not what I think happiness is supposed to look like nor a place to be reached when x, y, z are accomplished... but a groundedness in self, the unconditioned higher version that knows it already is worthy, deserving, joyful, successful and HAPPY. Just because it exists 🌞. So no more half smiles like this: it's gunna be shiny happy people full smile or death stare: no in between 😅 bc life is too short for 'meh's! What we want is often the last thing we need and what we need can be the opposite of what we want. Choosing happiness is choosing to let go of what we think happiness looks like 💁 and don't we all daydream 🙃. That's not to say I won't be accomplishing what I set my mind to (and there's A LOT) but I won't be 'chasing' dreams because that may very well leave me in a state of chasing eg never quite happy. Whenever I cultivate a pushing too hard mentality, the joy is gone out of the situation so I'm gunna fuel the fire 🔥rather than force something bc that leads to burn out. So Ima stop myself when that struggle vibe gets in and slide right back to grounded happiness. Stress is who we think we are and peace is who we are. I love this boy but my gosh has he tested the boundaries today!!! I am ready! The very day I returned to work after maternity leave, I threw my fitness regime out the window. It was impossible. Everyday was a race to the routine, we slept 4 to 5 hours most days, fitness was the last thing to consider in my new-working-mum universe. This week, after seven months, I am ready! Today was family time. Unapologetic, non work related family time. I don’t usually give myself a full day off (I’m a hustla homie) so it kinda felt weird haha!
