wooooooof 😓 today’s lift had me shaking: 💀 Deadlifts 3x4 @ 80% 1xAMRAP
💀 Bench press 5x5 @ 75% (got complimented on my form & was told I could bench 200 in no time 😎) #helloego 🙆🏻♀️ 💀 Bent over barbell rows 5x6 -
💀 Pull-ups 3x8 2x12 (hold at top for 8 counts & slowlyyyy come down) -
💀 Close grip lat pulldowns 3x20
💀 Tricep rope pressdowns SS overhead tricep rope presses 5x12
💀 One arm DB rows 4x8 SS tricep bench dips 4x20 -
🔥 ~ 30 seconds rest in between accessories -
About two weeks into my cut and I already feel so much better. Not only with my body, but also with my motivation levels. I can’t stress enough how much CONSISTENCY IS KEY! 🔐 -
What did everyone train today? Try this workout and let me know how you like it 👊🏽🔥
Since I have been back I've changed my workouts quite a bit. Today the focus on pull ups was control. This was a 10 second concentric and 10 second eccentric followed up by a few reps. The objective of this is to focus on feeling and controlling every muscle involved with the pull up as well as focusing on how my scapula moved throughout the movement. It's easy to just burst through reps and sets and not pay attention to your body. Slow things down. Pay attention. Feel everything. Know what it's supposed to feel like. Know the areas of the movement you need to work on. You should exercise the way you move and live life...with intent and purpose. Stay active.

🤣💪🏽why am I like this?
Also why the heck was there a piece of wood/toothpick in my leggings?!?! Yes that’s what I pulled out SO WEIRD and also happy I found it before it poked me (also don’t worry I picked it up after this video and threw it away lol)🤣🤣🍑👀
A little body update:
I haven’t strictly started my bulk but I have definitely been trying to increase my calories as much as I can!
I’m also training my legs more and really trying to build strength when I train!
Yay for progress!
If we were all blind, would the way you treat people & speak to people make you happy & make you feel like you’re being your best self? If that answer is no, start today and be a better you to yourself & to others. Being a nicer human truly makes for a better life😊
Sooo I'm trying to get over my fear of posting workout videos... Going to try post a lot more fitness stuff, so here's my one year back progress and a couple of finishers from today - inspired by @rebeccalovesfitness 🏋🏻♀️ (I have also discovered fake tan in the last year 😂)
⚡️Quadruped Progressions⚡️ The Quadruped is a great contralateral movement that strengthens the lower back, improves spinal alignment, as well as posture control just to name a few. This movement should be a staple in anyone routine wether it’s a beginner or an elite athlete. Below I have the progressions posted:
-Quadruped Bird Dog
-Quadruped Push Up
Probably the most effective chest-stand drill... using active muscles to lift, and gravity to passively let my feet “relax” down over the edge... I should do this one more... wanna get that headsit back.. 💪🏼😅 .. ⚠️Please don’t try this if you are not experienced in a chest stand with your feet flat.. it’s dangerous for your neck and back if you don’t have the flex or muscle to support the stretch⚠️ happy to answer questions though!! 👇🏼📝📥💌

Athlete: Cailer Woolam
IG Handle: @doctor.deadlift
BarBend: What got you into training?
Woolam: I always wanted to be strong like a super hero. I was always upset I wasn't born with super powers. So I figured weight lifting would be as close as I could get, lol.
BarBend: Choose one for life: Squat or deadlift?
Woolam: Is that a serious question? Jk. Deadlifts for life!
BarBend: What's your favorite guilty pleasure food?
Woolam: Cinnamon rolls are the best thing in the world. I can't help myself when it comes to that. And also just any kind of sour candy.
Happy Saturday! 💞 My @gymsharkwomen sports bra and leggings came today so I obviously had to show them off and wear them to the gym today for my back & shoulder lift 🤷🏽♀️💜 I’m officially done with week 2 of the #gracefitguide 💪🏼 I’m the most motivated I’ve ever been in my life, so I’m taking advantage of that in the gym and in school. I have people ask me all the time what motivates to keep going and stick with my fitness journey. For me, it’s new workout clothes (I have a problem), finding workouts I like and that make me want to go to the gym & having this instagram! The gym is my escape from everything. It’s my stress reliever and my happy place. The fitness community is such a big part of my drive to live a healthy lifestyle. Thank you guys so much for being apart of this journey and motivating me everyday!!! I love you all ☺️😘 #gfg#gracefitguide#gracefituk
