Still hate progress photos because I haven’t made many yet. But top is today, bottom are from three weeks ago. Lighting sucks I know. Starting to see some thickness come out finally. Still a long way to go, but slowwwwwly getting there.
The bulk is complete! And I can fully say that I’m happy with any gains that I’ve made. Now it’s time to lose this fluff, and get shredded for S-Trip and maybe competition 😉 #timetoshred

Nice to be able to rack pull again. Not a PR or anything but not bad considering I just started pulling again. Kept a couple in the tank. Seem to be getting stronger and having more effective training while in cruise mode. A lesson to be learned...don’t keep pushing things when your body doesn’t want it even if it’s what your ‘supposed’ to do. Listen to your body. After an unintended 3 days off and a crazy travel day yesterday came in and went straight to the program. Only 5 hours of sleep and I felt it all day coming in to this workout. Today was 72.5% (325 lbs) for a 3x5 then an AMRAP of 12 reps. Was a little rocky for the first few sets of 5 but pulled it together for the final set. I could have let the lack of sleep and fog get in my head but just remembering the cues and that I can move this weight got me through it! Sometimes a mindset can make all of the difference! Get after it this week!
How not to do a pull-up.
I see too many people performing half-asses pull-ups. Feet crossed, head protruding forward and reaching for the bar, partial reps. It's like watching someone shoot a basketball with 2-hands- it's just not how it's done! Stay tuned for the proper way.
After some heavy deadlifts to begin today’s back day, completed this compound set to target the upper back! With any pulldown motion, putting a focus to actually pulling down vertically will create a better activation of the Lats as you are pulling closer to the origin of the muscle! Compound set is ⤵️

Back day from a few weeks ago. Starting week 2 of not being able to work out and I’m going stir crazy. After being sick since Thanksgiving and having a brutal lingering cough, I ended up developing a bad case of pleurisy. For those who don’t know what that is... it’s an inflammation of the lungs. Imagine feeling like you’re having a heart attack... constantly 😭 It has been an especially difficult time because I’m finally not “sick”, I have a ton of energy and I am mentally ready to refocus. Ok all that said, this is temporary with end in sight. I’m blessed to overall be in good health and this will pass before I know it. Choosing to stay positive in this situation and trust.. It’s only till we’re not healthy that we realize how much we take being healthy for granted! I’ve been fighting a bad cold these past few days and I’m so grateful that I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.😌
It’s ironic how as soon as I set all these new goals for myself I experienced some set backs in terms of not being able to get into the gym. Despite all, its all about how we come back from a set back. So here I am back on the hustle 😤
