TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY: I wasn’t going to post this... mainly because I feel embarrassed by the pic of me from 2016. Thank God that podium hides some of me. That’s the most unhealthy I have ever been. In contrast... after deciding to change some of my unhealthy habits in 2016 and all through 2017... I am now the most healthy I think I’ve ever been in my adult life.
I hadn’t realized the difference until the pic from 2016 popped up on my timeline.
The older we get we can’t continue the unhealthy habits we’re used to and expect good results. Whether it’s 10, 30, 50, or 100+ pounds you’d like to shed... YOU CAN DO IT!! I feel better than I’ve felt in 10-15 years. I feel energized, motivated, my mind is so clear, and I’m happier than I’ve been in quite a while. I feel so much better about myself, mainly because I am healthy.
There’s NO SECRET... it starts with the decision to TRY... and REMEMBER “baby steps” are STILL STEPS... and with a little effort they will turn into bigger steps. No, it’s not always easy, and sometimes you’ll slip up... but just keep going!! If it was easy everyone would do it.
If you’re thinking about making a healthier lifestyle change... JUST DO IT!! Take that first little baby step, and do it for YOU. Do it for your health. Do it so you will be on this earth as long as possible to make the difference you were born to make.
There... I’m done talking now.

Me VS me! I spent my 20's wasting time feeling like I wasn't enough physically, emotionally, sexually & in my own success as a SUCCESSFUL kitchen designer. 🤦🏼♀️My 30's I not only found myself, started fulfilling more of my purpose but prioritized my family above saying yes to everything. 🤦🏼♀️ has it been easy? No. Is it possible? Absolutely! It's taken me YEARS to not only get my family to a place of choosing better health as a team but to stop letting fear take the drivers seat. I've found how powerful it can be to stop #comparing myself to others & compare myself to MYSELF! #meVSme Am I doing better emotionally? Am I growing in knowledge? Do I feel better inside & out? Am I truly happy?
If I can answer YES then who the heck cares?! 🙌🏻 I was once a girl who didn't workout, made fun of people who ate healthy 🙈 & never shared the truths in my life. Being vulnerable, transparent or real was not even an option! Change is so good. Change is possible & it happens with #babysteps. #thereishope#mamabearresults
I LOVE travel. I'm very fortunate to have a job where I travel a lot domestically (hey airline and hotel points) but I'm going on my first international trip for this job next month. SPAIN and MOROCCO‼️ Im beyond excited to be going back to Spain (where I studied abroad). Of course my flight and most expenses are paid but I agreed to 3 extra days in Morocco and I'm just now thinking about the budget🙈. It's not going to be expensive but I have to figure out how/where I'm gonna find hotel, food, transportation/tour guide, etc money...😅 Anyone have suggestions on how to handle this or some extra cash they want to Venmo me??
One way we’ve cut our budget down to save more money on “fixed” expenses is changing phone providers. I have another post on this further down my page with more detail of our switch. The gist of it is we live in the country and my husband has to have reliable phone service for work. We had Verizon for like 7-8 years. Well this past October we changed over to @mystraighttalk wireless. We went from $198/month with Verizon to $88/month with straight talk. I got to take my IPhone 6 with me and keep my same phone number. My husband bought a $30 flip phone from straight talk (he didn’t want another smart phone) because his other phone was shot. He got to also keep his phone number. Since changing over we’ve been very happy with our service. I have unlimited data, talk, text. Once I reach 10gb of data used a month it does get throttled down to 2G I think but I never get close to that and I’m not conservative with my data use either. We do have WiFi at home which helps. I’ve never had any trouble getting calls or making calls. We get service even in the woods at my in laws house. I am definitely glad we switched. We are paying half the price for the exact same product. If my IPhone ever craps out then I can buy a smart phone with straight talk for $50 or less. It obviously wouldn’t be another iPhone but I’m beginning to realize those things don’t matter. If it’s a reliable phone that meets my needs than I’m cool with it. I did see some refurbished iPhones for maybe $100 awhile back that straight talk offers if you just have to have one. Ever since switching I’ve had family members also make the switch and have had the same positive experience. So if your looking for ways to trim the fat off your budget then I suggest looking into your phone carrier. This may not be an option for everyone. For the longest time we thought it wouldn’t be an option for us however we were definitely wrong!! Happy saving!
This couldn’t be more true! When I first started my debt free journey it felt like a risk. I was supposed to send all the money I could possibly squeeze out of my budget to pay off debt. And before that I was supposed to make tight budget?! We were doing alright with money and making it from one paycheck to the next (barely!) but I still decided to dive in and take the risks that came with this debt free journey. I can honesty say that this is the best financial decision I have ever made and the risks are well worth it! •
Almost everything has risks associated with it, but some risks, like those that come with a debt free journey, are beyond worth it! •
Take that leap and embrace the risks and start today! You will thank yourself for the rest of your life that you started today and didn’t wait a day longer! •
Lifelong dream achieved- I have shares in a brewery! I have so much love for @brewdogofficial and can’t wait to see them grow even bigger in the future! Keep making those #vegan beers and I will be propping up the bar at @brewdognorwich enjoying my shareholder discount 🍻

Today is the day. It's probably a day like any other day - the laundry, the kids, cleaning, cooking - it's a day that you are doing the same thing as yesterday. But it doesn't have to be that way. Today is a day you can take a step towards a goal. Learn how to sew a seam. Find a new recipe to try. Start working on that blog you want to start. One step is as good as 100 - because you've STARTED! Small steps are what led me to where I am, because one day 4 years ago, I decided "TODAY is the day!" What about you - will today be YOUR day?
Don’t let interest continue to build! The faster you’re able to pay off your debt, the better! #Qoins

So when i started my small business/side hustle last year, i wanted a business phone, but didn’t want to have to buy a new phone. I’ll also be getting ready to start seeing home health patients again and don’t want to give my personal number to patients. Well since then my husband upgraded his phone, so we had an old iPhone! I honestly don’t need data, so joining Xfinity mobile at $12/mo for 1GB of data and unlimited text/data was a no brainer. It’s also a TRIAL for potentially leaving Verizon and saving $70-100/mo on our personal lines if i have no issues with the service.
Do you know how you end up being charged insufficient funds (or any other ridiculous) fees? It's because you're not reviewing your account transactions.
Logging into your online banking and reviewing your account transactions should be like breathing. Bank fees tear holes in your budget. Did you noticeany fees?
This could be the year you save more, pay off debt, increase your networth and build wealth. But you have to want it bad enough to make your money moves today.
Tell and tag a friend who need to save more.
My first paycheck for February is coming Friday! I decided to make sure I had some reasonable goals ready to tackle the month with. The no spend goal for February is going to be pretty hard for me because it’s my birthday month but I know that being debt free is more important. I want to pay $200 extra towards debt per month; this will be challenging but I’m pretty sure I already have babysitting gigs set up with two people. Unexpectedly I have to cash flow for a bridesmaid dress down payment so that’ll be interesting to see how it comes together. Hoping I can negotiate with the store to take whatever I have as the down payment. Grocery budget I’m trying to get down to $100 per paycheck. I’m also making a commitment not to swipe my badge at work to pay for breakfast. I need to be intentional about remembering to pack snacks and what not. What are your February goals?!——————————————— #debtfreecommunity#debtfreejourney#daveramsey#daveramseybabysteps#frugal#sidehustle#februarygoals#babysteps#budget#budgetlife#livelikenooneelse
